Eve killboard source files and hosting requirements

This how-to is related to the Eve Online killboard installation tutorial and will help you with the pre-settings for your EVE Killboard .

So, to install an Eve killboard you will need:

1.A web hosting for the EVE killbord files with:
– Apache Web Server
– PHP => version 4.0.9
– a MySQL Database => 3.23 with a database created and user login
– the GD2 Library installed
2. The latest EVE killboard from : http://eve-id.net/svn/
2.1. Images: http://crymore.de/rehosted/EVE/EDK/img.rar
2.3. Quantum Rise Content: http://eve-id.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=503&t=13363
3. Eve Online Director”s API key if you are going to setup Aliance or Corporation killboard from: http://www.eveonline.com/api/ , or you can use own API key for personal EVE killboard.
Lets start with the EVE killbord’s hosting.

Let’s say you have own hosting purchased for example from Web Hosting Company or a free one, and you are wondering whether it is covering the requirements for the EVE killbord installation.
In that case you have two choices to call your hosting provider and ask them about that information or you can check it by yourself using a ‘Info.php’ file as it is explained in this tutorial: Create PHP info file .
If you are wondering how to upload the mentioned in previous tutorial PHP info fail, please check this tutorial: Uploading files using FileZilla . You will need FTP client to upload your files for the EVE killboard on the hosting as well.
Once you are sure that your hosting supports the EVE Killboard, you will need to create database, because this information will be requested during the installation.
