List all mail accounts in Plesk using MySQL command

You are small design company with several clients, you are server administrator, you are curious young person playing with Plesk database, you are owner of VPS or dedicated server – it does not matter – you need to view all mail accounts in Plesk. Then this tutorial is for you.
If you are experienced user probably your will use some MySQL commands or you will have PHP MyAdmin installation to understand and manage the Plesk database, but it in the same time you will land on this page if you need a hint how to see all mail accounts in Plesk.

Anyway. In order to list all email accounts in Plesk , first login to the server with user who has access to ‘MySQL’. Usually this is ‘root’, but depending on the setup of the server it could be different.
Connect to the Plesk database :

Or use this lazy command to access Plesk MySQL databse which will login you to the MySQL server and will change the database automatically:

If you have chosen the first method make sure that you are going to use the correct Plesk database, list the databases and make active the ‘psa’ one as in the example bellow. If you have chosen the second one – you are already using the ‘psa’ table.

Now to list all Plesk mail accounts, use the command in the next field.

Just copy and paste the above line in your MySQL
The result will show all available Plesk mail accounts inside the ‘psa’ database.

If you are too inpatient and/or you do not know how to work with MySQL database the next command line will do all for you, again showing all mails in Plesk – just paste in your Linux command line:

In all the cases you will have listing of all Plesk mails like this one:

    Hi Anne,
To answer the question I need more information – what is the Plesk version, what MSSQL server you are using, as well whether it is on the server or external. With the provided error it seams you do not have configured privileges and/or allowed access to the MSSQL server.

I will presume you are asking about the latest Plesk 10 version.
To install it you may find this steps useful:

Login to Plesk and go to Server Management at left and then click Tools & Utilities where you should choose Updates.

There you will have to enter the server password. Press Log in and then click Add Components.

Depending on the server OS you should have either Windows 2003 (MSSQL 2005) or Windows 2008 (MSSQL 2008). There select also myLittleAdmin and click Continue

Take in mind that this could take even 30-40 minutes – you should not close the window during this time!

Once it is ready you will be able to create databases and users in Plesk.

About using Webadmin you will have to connect to your server for example via RDC (Remote Desktop Connection) and then to login to console. (Start -> Run – type ‘cmd’ and press enter).

Go you the Program Files directory where Plesk is installed and then to the admin binaries – this is usually C:\Program Files\Parallels\admin\bin or if it is 64bit Windows C:\Program Files (x86)\Parallels\Plesk\admin\bin

There you have to execute these commands:

    websrvmng.exe --reconfigure-sqladmin

    defpackagemng.exe --fix --type=sqladminMssql

Hope this will help you solving your issue. Feel free to ask questions here :)

With new Plesk versions there is a command for that:

    /usr/local/psa/admin/sbin/mail_auth_view

    Thanks anyway!
