Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.
Click on Start – Administrative Tools, and then double-click Internet Services Manager.

If you select All (unassigned), the Web site is accessible on all interfaces and all configured IP addresses. This is the place where you are setting-up different hosting IP addresses for different web hosting clients.
Type the TCP port number to publish the site on. Better leave port 80 since this is the default port and if you change it, your clients has to type it the same in the browser.
For example if you choose port 8080, in my example you should write:

http://mywebsite.com:8080
The next is to ype the Host Header name (the real name (domain name) that is used to access this site), and click Next.
What will appear is the location where the website files will be stored.

Now put an Index file. Under Windows you have the following first pages:

Default.htm
Default.asp
Default.aspx
index.htm

So, if you put there ‘index.html’ for example, it wont be shown.

I will put one index.htm file in the Windows document root folder with simple HTML code.
